Two of the people helping with my barn that came down in a storm at the end of July are a 59 year old Vietnam vet and, believe it or not, a 79 year old WWII vet. We all went to McDonald's for lunch on Saturday and as we were going in, a man coming out saw their hats that said US Navy, Retired and US Marine, Retired and stopped, shook their hands and thanked them for their service. I am glad to see that people notice. I want to say thank you to all our troops, both past and present; because of them I can live free. And express my deepest regret to the victims of 9/11, their families and the troops who have died fighting the wars America has been involved in.
