Mowing To weld or not to weld: busted MX6 follow wheel

/ To weld or not to weld: busted MX6 follow wheel #11
I broke mine years ago. I made a stronger bracket than the original design and welded it in place. Take your time and clean everything before welding it. Get a good deep weld. Paint it green when you're done and feel good.
Now, the trees fear me !

Yeah the bracket that is stock is not the strongest design at all.

So I ended up having to buy a whole new bracket assembly from Deere and weld a washer on the top of the rolled pin. We couldn't weld the pin where it broke, as it would have obstructed the pivot space between the steel tube coming off the mower and the wheel bracket. Oh well. Back to new and working great!
