Hi folks,
Been a while since I've been here, but I'm hoping someone can help
me with this.

I have a Ferguson TO 35 Diesel with Standard 23C that I've owned for
around 25 years. Its getting tired and I've been looking for restoration
and overhaul parts on the web.

There seem to be many more engine parts available in the UK than in the States,
but they are listed under the model FE 35.

My question is, will Fe 35 parts fit the TO 35?

Thanks,
Phillip

When I overhauled my TO-35 1958 23C I got the sleeve assemblies from Agco, but valves and guides were not available. I used new guides and modified new Deutz valves to repair the head as I wanted the new valves flush with the head surface. Sinking the valves causes compression loss enough that starting suffers, and the 23C doesn't start well cold anyway..

Thanks guys,
I'm familiar with most U.S. suppliers.
None of them offer items such as head bolts, high pressure injector lines,
and a whole host of other desirable parts that ARE listed by UK suppliers
under the model FE35 (Standard 23C)

Hence my original question:
Does anyone know if the FE35 parts will fit TO35?

Yes, same engine imported from the UK..

To help confirm, the TO35 (Tractor Overseas) is the same as the FE35 (Ferguson England) insofar as the Standard engine that was made in the UK. I just purchased parts from the UK for the 23C. Even with shipping, the NEW parts were 20% less expensive than having the part rebuilt locally. That includes shipping. Had the parts in hand in less than 48 hours shipped from England.

Pojawis,

What parts did you buy? Did they fit?
I conducted a small test by ordering 1 head bolt from a UK
supplier. It won't work. Metric thread. Mine has SAE threads.

I think all the Standard 23C's were made in the UK, so I imagine the one made for export to the US were made with std, and not metric threads. A Perkins 3.152 can be swapped into tractor that had a 23C, but the 3.152 is 2 inches shorter. I have also seen a Perkins 4 cylinder from a 165 swapped into a MF 135, the radius rods, tie rods, and hood had to be made a little longer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m42MWAhZhxk unless you want to keep it all original.

To swap a Perky to the 23c tractor all you need is the front axle mount, no other changes in steering will need to be made.

We had a Perky swap ready to be done, but had to trade the tractor off. Best advice is buy a direct injected (3D.152), still lots of parts to be had for that engine.

Yes, they will fit. Also, if you need things like injector lines, JCB also used Standard engines.
