Larry, good point. Most folks will not ever need to disconnect the top link and the post hole digger is about the only reason off hand I can think of to ever remove it. I have disconnects on my hydraulic rippers and top link because my old International has a single built in valve which I split between the top link and occasionally the rippers.
I can see the Cool area from my place here in Newcastle. The drive through the Gold Country over to Roberts side of the Canyon is a great drive. The Harley riders have taken a big interest in it. Rat...

I don't know how often you use your posthole digger. I have a mid mount mower that there is not need to have either the Top Link or the Tilt on the tractor. I installed all my valves with Quick Disconnects. Attached is a picture of how I did 4 of them.
The cheapest place I found to buy 1/4" QD's is Northern Tools .
HydraulicHoseFittings.com has all the fittings, adapters, caps and plugs that would be needed to complete an installation. Your thought is similar to Von; put the top link in a lower bracket hole, and tie it out of the way.

Have you been to the "Nugget" in Cool? They have good German food. EDCF St72 is out there too; one of the fire stations in our district.

Haven't been to the Nugget Robert. Seems we usually eat at the house or end up in Sacramento with other relatives. Next time I'll insist on the Nugget. Might fine country up there.
