TN85 and TN95 size and other differences??

How much physical size difference is there in the TN85 and the TN95. Will either or both fit on a standard lowboy style trailers with side rails? Do they have 3 or 4 cylinder motors. Other than horse power, are there any major differences? thanks

What are you referring to when you say lowboy trailers? Are you talking about tractor trailers (over the road trucks) or trailers you hook behind a half ton pickup? If your referring to a tractor trailer then they will fit easily. If you are talking a utility style trailer to pull behind a pickup truck and it has rails or fenders on it then you will need to keep the tractor set narrow to make it fit but it will fit.

By "lowboy" im referring to a trailer you hook behind a 3/4 ton pickup. Could be bumper pull or could be gooseneck variety. Double or tripple axle, heavy or light duty. But I mainly mean "not a flatbed float" but rather a standard width trailer with side rails.

The TN will fit as long as you keep it narrow.

Ive never messed with the tire width of any tractor. How much is involved in narrowing or widening the rear tire width. I would think this would not be something you would change frequently.

major difference I see between the two tractors is the turbo on the TN95. as for the wheel settings, tractors come from the factory at their narrowest setting. if someone wants the wheels set out further they use wheel spacers. if you're buying this tractor new, then it will already be pre-set at it's narrowest setting.

One does NOT use wheel spacers to adjust the track width, the rims and centers are re-configured as needed. When buying a new tractor, any dealer with the slightest customer service ethic will set the track width wherever the buyer wishes, within the limitations of the tractor's design.

No you wouldn't want to change it very often. If the tires are filled they are extremely heavy and dangerous. You have to decide your main use and go from there. If you are working on hilly ground all the time doing general work you will want to set it wide. If you plan on plowing you will want to set the wheels to match your plow and if your going to haul this tractor often you will want to set the wheels to where you can still fit on your trailer. If your use requires you to set your wheels wider then the trailer then you may want to look into buying a different trailer or hire someone to haul it if needed.

If you are towing behind a pickup, weight is going to be a problem.
My TN75 weighs just under 7000lbs (no implements, no loader bucket)

Put just about any implement on it and you're right at 10,000lbs (or more)

The TN85/95 are bigger than the 60/70/75 (don't know the weight offhand of them, but NH website certainly has it.)

My 75 is just under 7' wide, plenty of room to fit.

IIRC there is no physical size diff between the 2 or w/i the TN line. The tire type/size and how theyre set will determine that. Perhaps the only operational diffs are which transmissions would be available and maybe hydraulic performance.
