No 4wd light on dash and do not feel 4wd kick in while driving. Checked light in dash (still no illumination after switching bulb). Checked power to switch which I have power. Checked switch. Have power to solenoid when switch in 2wd and no power when in 4wd which checks. I don’t hear solenoid clicking when engaging.
My guess is maybe solenoid is stuck in open position (2wd). I know this system is supposed to spring load to fail in 4wd but something seems to be keeping pressure in system. Only way I’m thinking that is because 4wd light in dash is still not illuminated.
Any suggestions on how to bench test the solenoid? Or maybe a common problem with this model?
