TL 2501F not moving

We just recently acquired an Iseki TL 2501F. It cranks and and sounds beautiful. The gear shift moves great no grinding but the tractor won't move. It moved just a tad forward but not much. it does have a leak right under the seat. We put fluid in it and when cranked it started coming out of the gear shifter and out of the fill hole and under the seat to the left. We used tractor oil 303. First encounter with this type of tractor or any tractor for that matter. We know we have to replace the shifter boot. can't figure why it won't move.

At first thought, it sounds like the transmission is over filled and you either have an issue with a slipping clutch or a shift fork isn't engaging the gears properly.

Im not familiar enough with that model to tell you how to check the fluid level but since it is coming out of the shifter, it sounds like you may have too much in the trans case.

The shifter boot is designed to keep water/debris out of the shifter, not keep fluid in, so I wouldn't worry about replacing the boot. Figure out why fluid is coming out.

On the clutch, put the transmission in the lowest range and 1st gear, see if the tractor will move any better than before.

we have to replace the boot as it is dryrotted and in 2 pieces. I will try this today and get back. I feel like fluid should not be coming out under the seat. Not sure how well it was taken care of so don't know about seals on it.
