Kioti CK 3510
Hi all,

I'm not a knowledgeable user but I'm considering getting a backhoe for my new ck3510. I'm not prepared to spend $$$ and I came across the Titan 6' cat1 backhoe priced at $3400. It comes with a thumb and has choices of bucket size. I know it's made in China but I wouldn't probably put it to work that hard. Any opinions please?

Congratulations on the new tractor. Subframe backhoes are a little pricey but work pretty well. I see you described the Titan as a cat1 backhoe. I assume this means that it connects to the tractor by the 3pt links. This type of hook up can put a good amount of stress on the three point links and more importantly the case of the tractor where the three point links connect. If I remember correctly, any damage done to the tractor that Kioti can say was caused by a 3pt backhoe will not be covered under warranty. Personally, I wouldn't use a 3pt hook up backhoe. I see how my Kioti, KB2375, 7.5 foot backhoe can move my CK30hst around when digging. Other members may have better experience with this type of backhoe and can comment.

I have a woods 3ph backhoe I have used for 26 years on a mf 1020 cut and now a ck 30
and have experienced no problems,,,A little common science goes a long ways
There seems to be a lot of fear generated about problems of 3ph hoes

Hmm... Thanks Harold and Victor. Contrasting views. Certainly a frame attachment would be stronger but perhaps the 3 pt, with the bh side legs, would be enough in normal circumstances. The warranty voiding by Kioti would deny that option, however.
I'm not in the position to pay another 7-8k for a "subframe" bh at this point though. Will dig area with a middle buster and fel.

Another option, just buying the Kioti sub frame and mounting it to Titan backhoe shouldn't be to hard to do.

If your looking at the titan bk215 it is made by the same company that makes the Kioti backhoes so it should mount right up to a kioti sub-frame if you can get one at a reasonable price. Check Michigan Iron's website they probably have it listed for your tractor.

Looks like around 1200 for the subframe part # LDS04-21300-01 might be your side rails not real clear under your model you might need to call them.

Does that include the mounting brackets that bolt to the tractor ?

Yup about according to the MIE parts website about 670 for the main frame rails 400 for the rear frame mount bracket and 190 for the front frame bracket then about 100 in misc parts so around 1350

Thanks. Yes I was looking at the bk215 (which their rep said may be limit heavy for my ck3510) and also at their smaller 6' bh. Either way, with this frame mount, the total would go to $5000 and I wonder if there are any "tractor-mounted" backhoes (as opposed to 3 pt) starting from that price point. A quick search on "everything attachments" doesn't make it seem so and I'll have to see if the $5000 would be justified for my scope.
