'Tis the Winter Solstice!

Yay! Today is the first day of winter! Actually, the "YAY!" is for the fact that the days now start to get longer again!!! I don't know about you, but I'm not a big fan of it when it gets dark by 4:30 pm!

Yes on the celebration Looking forward to more daylight too. This is going to be a very cloudy, overcast week here. It's been relatively sunny here this Fall and I count that as a good thing.

I will drink to the distant (both in time and space) relatives tonight. I'm not sure which would be worse, a visit from my sister or pagans

I guess I'm the odd man out I kinda look forward to the longer evenings, It's kinda strange that so early in the winter it's already turning around.

What's the winters version of Stone henge? or was that used for both?
