2013 Kioti DK45SE HST
I was airing up all of the various tires at the house today and noticed this damaged valve on the rear of the Kioti DK45HST. It is a two piece stem with the top piece being screwed into the actual stem piece. As can be seen in the pics, the top piece is damaged as is the core and the core can't be used to add air. There is not a leak yet. From how the top piece is pulled away from the bottom piece (bent) it may require a tube replacement I do not want to have done at the moment. The tire is filled with a a methanol mixture.

I think the first thing I am going to try is simply a valve core replacement so I can get air in and out of the tire. And the second if necessary, will be to replace the top piece of the valve, which I think is risky.

I do not have a tractor shop/store close by. Concerning the valve core, any suggestions on the type, such as standard automotive, large truck, etc.? _EM50898.JPG_EM50895.JPG

With filled tires I'm sure you know to have the valve stem at 12 o'clock. The core is probably the same as a standard auto core. You may get lucky to unscrew the top piece and re-thread it in straight then replace the core. Are you sure you have tubes? I have the same stems on mine which are tubeless. When I had the stem out to fill mine it looked like a standard auto stem (pic). The sidewall of the tire says it is tubeless.
Even if tubeless, you'd have to drain your methanol mix and break the bead to replace the entire valve stem assy. then refill. No small task if you have never done so.

The portion above the knurled piece appears to be a standard Schrader valve. I'm guessing that's part of the inner tube and the larger threaded piece is just a pass-through where it goes through the rim. The knurled piece is probably a nut that tightens against the end of the pass-through. Looks like it needs a good cleaning and maybe a new valve core. Valve cores come in plain brass or nickel plated (the latter for TPMS systems to avoid corrosion issues). Walmart or auto parts store should have them (and a valve core tool if you don't already have one). Be sure to rotate tire so valve is at top to avoid losing fluid. Be sure to keep a cap on there too - they make ones that have a seal up inside them to help keep liquid and dirt out.

Here's what the seal caps look like inside:

Thanks to you both. I will try standard auto cores.

dbotos: I am interested in the seal caps you are referring to but the attachment is "invalid" every time I click on it.

Went back and re-attached. Should be working now.

you don't have a tube in that tire. you need to replace the bent piece, don't think a core will help. jack up the tire a put valve a the top, let the air and water out and replace. tsc or most tire stores should have a replacement, might have to buy the whole stem and just use the big core. the small valve core is the same as car tire

Yep. With further investigation I have found the same thing. Going to order these and remove the top half and replace.

Valve core is standard type, just like on a car, trailer or motorcycle.
Jack the wheels off the ground before attempting to remove it, that way you won't lose all your liquid fill and the tubeless tire bead seal won't be lost.

I had a tire failure a while back and lost a bunch of calcium out of one tire, so I recently removed both valve stems and balanced them out by putting a length of clear plastic tubbing onto the large stems. I just let the pressure down on the one I wanted the fluid to go to and pumped up the other one fairly hard. It worked like a charm. You can hold the air pressure in with your finger tip and if you work quick and careful you can remove and re-insert a new valve core without much loss of air pressure.
