Price Check Tire price?

Still working on purchase of a new TC30 hydro. I've been so busy at work and school (working on degree at 38yrs old) that I'ts hard to get to the dealer to finalize deal. The wife says 'just do it'. She's sick of hearing about it. I've been planning on going with R4 tires but have recently changed my mind to go with turfs. (3acres, all grass, 400 ft concrete driveway). Dealer#1 is more than happy to switch to turfs. He'll do it for no additional charge. Hey, are'nt turfs cheaper than R4's? Should'nt I be getting a price-break on the tire switch?

Turfs cost 710.00 industrial cost 935.00 if dealer does not have turfs instock there will be some freight charges involved but should not be 225.00 worth he should give you some of it.

The "which tire?" debate will never end - and I know you didn't ask for an opinion, but.........I can tell you that I'm glad I stuck with the R4's - unloaded and using common sense (like don't mow 5 minutes after a 2" rain), they do perfectly fine on grass (and I have a heavier TC40D) - unless you have a golf course-like grass/ground objective, you won't really notice a difference. Plus, the R4's will work a lot harder and work much better in more demanding conditions if you ever require them to. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I just checked out the tractor with turfs on it at the dealer. It just seems right to me. I think I'm gonna go with turfs.

Keep in mind that turfs are much more prone to punctures.

Spence, I ran turfs on the JD650 that I just sold. I used it for five years without a problem. I think this is due to my property situation. I have three acres (all grass) and 400 ft of concrete driveway. I also do a little clean-up work on the dirt-road out front. So, as you can see, there is little opportunity for me to come in contact with nasty stuff to puncture the tires. You do have a good point to consider for those who have a less-developed property.
