Max tire pressure has a lot of fudge factor built in. If you inflate to max pressure on a cool morning and then then check it in the hot afternoon, the pressure will be higher. Now haul your tractor up to the a 5000' mountain and it will be even higher. My pickup tires will read 59 psi in the morning and 70 psi by the afternoon without driving the truck. If I would inflate the tires to the max psi of 80 in the morning and drive my truck 75mph in the afternoon when it was 100 degrees with a heavy load, the tires would probably read 95 psi.
