I thought I understood it, but where did the 1.4 come from ?
Is this a magic ratio ? Are ALL FWA tractors designed on a 1:1.4 ratio of front to rear axle ratios ?
If not, where can I find the ratio between MY front and rear axles' reduction ratios ?
It IS a "ratio of ratios", right ?

Measure the circumferences and divide the rear # by the front #, As in 90 divided by 60 = 1.5 to 1.

It depends on your stock tire sizes. The new Mahindras seem to have pretty big front tires compared to other tractors the same size, so would have different ratios.
