My tractor repair manual speaks of AG tires and ES tires. What do the terms AG and ES stand for. My goal is to change the rear tires on my Mitsubishi 2050D 4WD tractor from a Rice tire to a wider more stable tire. I do most of my work on sloped ground.

AG = agriculture, similar to your rice tires but not quite as aggressive.

ES = ???, but I'd guess estate, as in turf tires. Good for mowing grass and not leaving prints.

The alternative that I selected are industrial tires. Agressivesness between Ag and Turf, but more heavy duty.

I'm sure a more knowledgeble member will correct me should I be off base.

I've never heard of ES tires, but would think they mean Estate turf tires. Who knows? Sometimes they just won't stick with the standard lingo!
