Does anyone no how to figur tractor tire dimensions my tractor has 12.4 16 tires on it I want to know if a set of chains off a set of 13.6 16 tires are going to be bigger or smaller thanks Sean

I think the 12.4 tires will be smaller and you will need to shorten the chains. I checked the Firestone site here:

Firestone Agricultural Tire

and printed the results to the attached .pdf's. It looks like it found AG tires for the 12.4 and turf for the 13.6, but it should give some idea as to the size difference. Other tire sites should have similar calculators.

Tractor tire dimensions can vary considerable from manufacturer to manufacturer. One tractor I have had the same size tires on it when I purchased it used but two different brands and you could see a decided lean to the tractor even with air pressure equal.

I'm with kco though and also think you will probably need to shorten the chains but I doubt it will be difficult to do so.
