hey guys

There is a set of tires that are mixed sizes 18.4/R34 and 480/80R34 that I can buy. They all were on the same tractor previously

Will running these tires cause any problems to my drivetrain being different sizes?

thank you

According to-https://www.equipmentradar.com/blog/farm-tractor-tire-guide-size-conversion-chart-R298143
The first tire equals:
18.4X34 18.4R34 460/85R34

The second tire size has no equivalent. This means you do the calculations. Divide the metric measurements by 25.4 to get inches wide. The 80 aspect ratio can then be calculated to obtain diameter.

The outside circumference of the tire should be the same. If it is not the same you can damage the tractor.

The main thing to watch will be the loaded radius and/or the rolling circumference.
The 480/80R34 is an uncommon tire size. If you get the manufacture and the tire "model" from the tires then go to the manufactures web site you should be able to get the relevant information to compare.
If they are not very close in tread width and contact patch the tractor will not want to track straight or pull evenly. If the rolling circumference is not very similar your differential side gears will have to work harder and faster while you are driving straight.

They are close;
18.4-34 460/85R34 480/80R34 520/70R34 600/65R34
