I have chains on my rear turf tires. I have a 224 that has the big tires like a 254 or 284. I don't have the specific chain size but they were for a set of 10R 22.5 truck (bus) tires. 10R 22.5 is same size basically as 9.00 R 20(one size is tube type, one tubeless). I got them for free and they fit pretty darn good I must say.
I have the fiberglass fenders which could be damaged due to close clearance between tire and fender if sloppily put on but if you get your chains tight to begin with you will have absolutely no problem. I use bungie cords for tensioners and they work well.
Great for icy conditions. Here is a pic from last year.
Edit: here are my turf tire sizes 11.2-20 rear, 26x7.50-12 front.
My ags were 9.5 x 24 rear, 6.00 x 16 front.
