Do chains only go on the rear tires? And what about weights?

Sorry, I'm trying to get to know everything about tractors before I start working.

i get confused here also. some say rear only, some say front only. some say ok on both.

i have a new Kioti, so i called their tech support people and asked. turns out using chains on both tires will NOT affect warranty. they say there so strong, it wont hurt.

personally, ill try chains on back for 1st year see how it works. if i need more traction, ill try them on front and rear the next season.

Matt, you posted in the Snow Removal forum too...asking about a front blade.
I'm pretty sure the lawn tractor you're buying is RWD only.
You want chains on the drive axle...in your case, the rears.
