When changing your oil do you get tired of holding the bottle upside down waiting for that last bit of oil to run out? What I do is find places to stand the bottle upside down inside the engine compartment. Then when I've dumped in the last bottle I go back to the first one and empty the last bit out of it. Its amazing how much oil drains down while the bottle sits upside down for a couple of minutes.

i just use a big funnle, and set the gallon jugs in the mouth of it. by the time i'm on the 4th gallon, the first couple have drained clean.

Synthetic drains quickly.

If the engine has been run and you are not using synthetic, lay the oil jugs on the engine to warm the oil before you drain the crankcase.

When doing oil changes, warm up the engine fully first. You will get more of the crud out of the pan that way. Just be careful you don't get burned when you pull the oil drain plug.

I had two thoughts on changing the oil. One was to let the vehicle sit overnight and that way all the oil is in the pan. The other is to let the engine warm up. I think warming the engine up is the best.
