My OEM Bridgestone Duellers on my 2007 Chevy Z-71 have 96,000 miles on them. Even at that they have more than 1/16" tread left. I am pretty amazed that I could get this kind of life out of any tire. But it's tire time. For value and wear I would consider these Bridgestone Duellers second to none. The Bridgestone Duellers that came on my truck are horrible in ice and snow. By far the worst tire I have ever owned for ice and snow use. I am considering Michilen LTX M/S2 tires. Not cheap. But I live in the middle of nowhere and come home from work at 3:30am. Getting stuck is more of a priority than tire life and price for the way I use my tires.

I would keep looking. Replaced a set of LTX with Toyo open countty. The LTX would load up and not clean off. Other than the long mileage that they lasted, not worth a hoot.

Also, get LT tires, well worth it. They should not be putting Passenger tires on trucks.

So what are we doing here?
Are you asking for recomendations?
I like the Goodrich tires... they seem to last a long time. I replaced the original tires with this tire, because the original OEM tire lasted so long.(Goodrich)
The only thing I know about snow is what I've seen in the pictures here on TBN...... Looks like nasty stuff.
Anyway, should you ever decide to move south........

The temps here in the summer are well........ 'Africa hot'.

Hope this helps

Since 1979 I have owned five 4x4 pickup trucks. I have tried a tire brand or two. I will have to admit that the one set of BF Goodrich KO's that I have owned where the absolute best tire that I have used in ice and/or snow. But I had the KO's a long time ago. The wear for sure wasn't 96,000 miles on them. Maybe 65,000 as I remember. So maybe a little comprise that I am looking for. Some good tire life and really good traction. I am willing to pay a little extra for that.

I finally decided to run a set of Toyos and was hooked. They are tough, easy to balance and run a long way. The best brand I have ever run in a lot of years with heavy duty pickups. I spend a lot of time in the mountains, in all seasons and towing some of the time.

My only complaint is the Toyo AT tires don't have as much traction in the snow as BFG all terrain TAs do. But the quality and strength of the tire more than makes up for it. The Toyos are far better quality and much tougher.

How many times did you get stuck in 96k miles?

96k miles I would replace them with the same tire? The generals on my 07 GMC dually have 40 k and will never see 60 k .

How about cooper tire there only made a 100 or so miles from you location

If Yokohama has a tire in your size and class I would go there in a heartbeat. For a 1/2 ton pickup(135K miles) I am on my second set and couldn't be happier with the quality and the price of admission was sweet.....Gary

Stuck twice in 96,000 miles. Some close calls where the truck wanted to swap ends at 55 MPH but I do still have enough reaction time left in these old bones to have saved it. I am kind of considering the Bridgestone Duellers again. It's a 68 mile round trip to work and back every day so I can rack up some miles in a year. Still thinking about it. 96,000 miles out of a set of tires is maybe something that isn't broke and doesn't need fixing.

You got me thinking about duellers.....96 k is real good. I just sold my truck with goodyear duratracs and I only got 40k and they were pretty much worn out. They were awesome for snow and mud and ok on shear ice. fairly quiet tire considering the aggressive tread.
