Time Lapse Video... Mulchers or Loggers??

Are we mulchers or loggers??? I guess you could say both. This is a time lapse of us doing a small pine tract. The pines were about 20 years old. One of the few cases in this area where they were marketable and there was a mill close enough to justify hauling them.

I was on the chainsaw and Gyro Trac. My partner ran the Bobcat and Truck. We would clean the underbrush from around the pines, then drop, buck, and stack the trees. Then grind the stumps with the Gyro Trac and repeat. This method produces the best results because you don't have such deep debris to try and mulch at one time.

The last minute or so we haul out the timber.

This was a flat rate job. We slow down just a little bit when it's a by the hour job

Thanks for the compliment. The easiest way to accomplish that and make sure all of your employees do the same is to keep it small. My partner and I are the owners, operators, mechanics, etc.

Loggers leaving a mess is the #1 complaint of land owners that have timber cut.

Once the word gets out that your logging jobs don't leave a mess, your phone will ring off the hook!

Thanks. We had lots of comments from the neighbors who had similar lots. All in the middle of a pine tract and falling trees during storms.

Not sure about the clinic. I would like to but just don't know about our schedule.

Very nice job indeed. Your video's are super important, you have a hard time remembering what the job looked like before you started. Make sure these video's are on your website and your website is on your vehicle's. Customer's will remember a name or website before they can remember a phone number.

This job was in Kings Mtn. The mill was in Shelby, NC. I can't remember the name but can look it up if you can use it. Locally, it's pretty hard to get anything for pine unless you are set up with someone.

Welcome to the forum. I think I saw one of your flyer's at Allens General Store a few months ago. I stop there quite a bit for a good burger.
