Are we mulchers or loggers??? I guess you could say both. This is a time lapse of us doing a small pine tract. The pines were about 20 years old. One of the few cases in this area where they were marketable and there was a mill close enough to justify hauling them.
I was on the chainsaw and Gyro Trac. My partner ran the Bobcat and Truck. We would clean the underbrush from around the pines, then drop, buck, and stack the trees. Then grind the stumps with the Gyro Trac and repeat. This method produces the best results because you don't have such deep debris to try and mulch at one time.
The last minute or so we haul out the timber.
