For most of the country we all loose an hour of sleep tonight. At 2:00 AM Sunday morrning you are supposed to turn the clock ahead 1 hour.

I wish they would leave the time alone, some states get it right they don't mees with the time. Takes me a week to adjust, but I do like the fact that it will be ligther longer after I get home from work, more seat time potential.

Yes and no Randy. I live in Indiana, most of which doesn't change. Trouble is, we're less than a mile from Michigan which does change. Most of my work contacts are in Michigan. Also, one county to our west are some of the few counties in Indiana that do change due to proximity with Chicago.

So yes, our life is easier twice a year by not having to change our clocks, but it's more hassle trying to keep track of what time our various neighbors are on /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I agree..leave the time alone.

Forgot to advance the coffee maker timer ahead last night. /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif

Opps, got caught off gaurd on this one. Guess I should read the off-topic forum
more often. I think I'll change all the clocks before my wife gets up and see if
see notices a difference.

I also live in Indiana, the part that doesn't do DST (Deranged Stupid Time), and it's one of the best things about living here. Some politicians want to make us start doing DST, even though the majority of the citizens don't want it. I heard on the radio this morning that someone is making a big push to force DST onto us (I didn’t catch the names, but have been trying to find out who it is so I can write a letter). They are taking it to the federal level and trying to get President Bush to sign it. I’ve got a lot of respect for Bush and have liked how he’s been handling things so far. I hope he doesn’t let me down on this one!

I found the information on who want to mess things up in Indiana!

I would really be mad of they switched us to Central Time. I only have about a half hour of daylight left when I get home from work in mid winter as it is - if we were on Central Time it would already be dark when I got home! Any slight advantage to going to Eastern Daylight Time would certainly be negated by having to reset all my clocks and readjust my "internal clock" twice a year.
