I recently got a good deal on the tilt tach from Skidsteer Solutions, a product I have wanted for some time. I intend to use it to tilt the bucket to dig and clean out drainage ditches.

The tilt tach fit perfectly on my Toolcat mounting plate but I could not get my Bobcat 62" low profile bucket to fit on the tilt tach.

As you can see, the pad on the tilt tach (right) won't seat under the lip on the bucket (left). After lots of checking and discussions with the manufacturer, I discovered that the bucket pocket edge was hitting the top of the tilt tach plate:

The solution was to use a torch to cut out about 1/2" on the inside support of each pocket on the bucket. There is still more than enough support for the pocket and everything fits fine.

The manufacturer had never run acrross this issue. The titl tach now works great and I'm a happy camper.

you will like the tilt tach. I have been using them for years and sometimes buckets just don't fit up well on attachments. Glad you figured it out.

I bought a used bobcat tilt-tach about 1 year ago. Plan to use it the first time tommorrow to cut a swale. There has been times I could have used it but it never seemed to be nearby when I needed it. They don't look like much from a distance but heavy if I try to pick it up. The bobcat one weighs 320 lbs. Have fun with yours.

Lots of uses for one of those.
Great for light stumping, cutting ditches, cleaning out ditches, setting and cutting for a culvert, popping rock corners up so you can get bucket under it.
I use one on a set of forks to level loads on uneven terrain. I imagine there are other uses that I am not thinking of...

How sensitive is the movement? If you had a large bubble level mounted somewhere in view of the operator could you easily tilt the attachment level?

That's a darn good idea! It is sensitive enough to get level, but I'm never convinced that my eye has done a good job. I'm going to find me an bubble to mount on the top of the backplate.

RV stores sell several sizes & types for leveling trailers & motorhomes. Some are quite large for easy reading at a distance (or older eyes).
