Tier I or Tier II Engine?

I am looking for an operator and shop manuals for my 2002 451, but understand there are two different manuals... Apparently, this model had both Tier I and Tier II engines. How can I know which one I have?

Tier I engine has a fuel filter with a see through glass bowl and a metal fuel tank.

Tier II engine has an electric fuel pump, black fuel filter bowl, and a plastic fuel tank that wraps from the top and down behind the engine.
