I'm going to ask anyway.
#1. Has anyone temporarily used compressed air to actuate hydraulic cylinders?.I am building a project and have to use mock ups for mounting position etc and have yet to pick out a 12 volt power unit. Can I use air to test this or should I wait for my pump.
#2. And this is a good one:eek: Can a pressure washer be converted into a hyd pump using fluid instead of water?.Anybody tried this?.

Now you understand the title.:)

CAUTION

You probably already know this, but go easy on using air pressure (need to regulate it down). Applying full pressure will/could/might/possibly/probably hurt something, or at least give you a good scare. Folks do this all the time with air (pneumatic cylinders). If it moves too fast, you can put a pilot/screw type valve in the other port (2 way cylinder), and regulate the flow going out to adjust speed. Good luck, tell us more, show us some pics.
