Hello all, working the driveway tonight with my 2370 and all of a sudden the throttle won't keep RPM's up. Just keeps popping back to idle. Anyone else experience this and know the cause? I couldn't get cruise control to hold it either. Frustrating, as it's very low hours still, but alas, out of warranty period. Any ideas, or help where to look? Thanks in advance for any help you can give before I tear into it, or take it in.

Depends on the make and model. As long as we are talking a mechanical linkage. I think I have had this happen on almost every diesel tractor I have owned. It's almost always just a tightness adjustment on the throttle linkage. It's a pain because too tight and it is unpleasant to use and too loose and it does what you are saying.

Yeah, follow the linkage, and you'll find the 'clamp' deal IT is talking about. Yours has come loose....just tighten it until you like how it moves/holds.

It is a simple job, had to do mine recently.

Same here....I had to tighten the mechanism right under where the "stalk" goes into the dashboard. Just experiment.....you want it to hold a setting, but not take too much pressure to move. Fixed in 5 minutes.

That's really helpful guys, thanks again. I'll give it a go tonight after my day job.

Couldn't have been any simpler  take the screen/cover off,and the two 12mm nuts are right there. Simply tightened the top one till tension was right, then tighten the lock nut. Like sdk131 said, 5 mins if that. All is well (till the next time).

I've had this problem with mine a few times. The first two times I tightened up the top nut then the bottom. The last time I tightened the bottom one. So far it works, but I wonder if I have something set up wrong. I think I've tightened it 3 times in 80 hours of use.

In my on- line research I came across a guy that said to put loc-tite on the threads then tighten them, let sit overnight before using and it's done for good. I'm not convinced, as I would rather tighten them once in a while than fight the loc-tite if I ever needed to re adjust. If it was happening a lot maybe, but this is the first time on mine.
