Tractor
Kubota L35
I just purchased a L35. Tractor runs great but is a hard cold start. None of the gauges in the dash work except for the tach. The chine sat for a long time out in a field (about 10 years). Hoping someone may have an idea where to start looking for a solution. I ordered the manual but it has not arrived yet. Want to get a start on it today. I did download the wire diagram going starting to look it over now. I am sure there are problem spots to look for. Hoping someone may know were to start looking. Thanks!

I can only suggest the obvious. There may be a common fuse for the dash or the ground connection common for the dash my be corroded.

The tach is probably mechanical run by a spinning cable. The rest of the instruments will be electrical. Look the wiring over carefully to see if mice set up housekeeping and were snacking on wiring. The do that.

So weird today I took the machine to pressure wash it. After I pressure washed it most things seemed to work. So someplace I have a bad connector. Going to start with the fuse block.

Do the lights work?
If you find that nothing that is a fused circuit is functioning, look at the wire from the ignition switch to the fuse block.

They did not but now after washing it they do. Most things are working now but the glow plugs are still not working.

The pressure washing suggest you have moved or wiggled a few connectors some place or disturbed some corrosion.... Start at battery and clean all connections in both positive and negative side and move on to fuse block, remove clean and replace the fuses and clean any male/female connectors right up to connection on back of dash....Don't ignore grounds...

I would agree that in washing and moving the tractor, you have wiggled something that either was not making a good connection or was shorting out.
If the tractor was starting without issues, I do not believe you will find the issue until after the ignition switch.
While cleaning the battery terminals, and cable ends where they connect to the frame and starter is good general maintenance. It sounds as though you have an issue with power going to the fuse block.
It could be that a small bit of wire insulation has been compromised, making it pain to locate, but allow the power supply to the fuse block to be interrupted.
Good luck!

Thanks for the ideas. Hope to work on it some this weekend.
