Thread pitch and size of hydro-trans red filler cap on NX

Does anybody happen to know (or has the resources to measure) the thread pitch and size of the little, red, plastic, filler cap on the HX series HST transmission? My cap is increasingly a battle to get on right due to the plastic threads stripping out and I'd like to purchase an aftermarket aluminum cap that isn't as fiddly.

No idea, Buuuuuut......while reading this over again... how about a metric thread checker at the female threaded portion?

Man, I like the idea of a metal replacement......the plastic cover is truly a PITA.....

I would say it's probably something like pipe thread, but with straight threads.

If you have some plumbing fittings, you may want to try and check that.

My NX is off in the weeds at another property so it isn't easy to measure the cap. It'll wait 'til I bring it back to maintiance and rig for winter in a few more weeks.
