We originally put out 17 plants. Several died but the survivors produced this bushel.

When I was a kid, we grew sweet potatoes, but I don't remember enough about it and haven't grown any since my teenage years. My wife and I like them, but oddly enough, neither of our daughters ever liked them.

Glad to hear you got some 'taters'. Some nice sized ones there too.

Looks like a good crop. I still have to harvest my 5 plants if any taters grew. I have been told the climate up here is no good for them to grow.

Nice lookin taters!!! ours are still growing, so dont know how many we will have!---There are some beauties pokin up under the leaves!! (didnt quite get enough dirt raked up under the plants)---our drought here kinda hurt a bit but we planted the sweets later and they got a little of the late rains that finally started! thanks; sonny580

The wife dug up 4 or 5 plants and she got 2 5 gal buckets full. There was sure some odd shapes, but some nice ones too. I think she has about 10 to 15 to go. Hope she likes sweet potatos, I don't. Just like a woman (over doing things). It wouldn't be odd for her to cook up 5 gals all at once, for 2 people.

The dry weather would have hurt more here, but I hauled water to the garden for 4 weeks and should have started sooner. I was still surprised to get a bushel of taters from the surviving plants.
