My wife purchased plants and seeds for the garden the day before yesterday. The garden has been tilled for some time and was still in good order for planting. I wanted to lay off rows with a middle buster (I don't have a middle buster) but my wife said I already have too many toys and gizmos. We wind up laying off the rows with a string and a hoe (I hold the string). We get two rows of corn (peaches and cream), 24 tomato plants and a few cucumber plants set out. Still have quite a ways to go with two more varieties of corn, beans, sunflowers, and I'm going to try watermelons. Now she has two busted blisters and a sore back and we also have about 8 inches of rain that may have washed out all we've done so far. Most likely I will till it all up and we will replant. She seems more agreeable to the middle buster idea for some reason.
