High exhaust temperature indicator. The manual is extremely vague and I have no idea what to do. I have been mowing about an acre when it came one.

Read the writing beside what you circled. It tells you what it's for and to not turn it off until it goes out.

I read what it said. It doesn’t say I should press the regen button.

It also says this light comes on when the regen process is started. I was mowing. I didn’t start the process.

The process starts on it's own. That's just a light so you know the regen is going on. Once it finishes, the light goes away.

The buttons are there for when you want to cancel the regen if you're working on highly inflamable stuff like hay, straw and so on. Since the DPF is getting cleaned, it can throw some really hot particles out of the exhaust, which is a bad combination with straw.

Do a search on emission stuff on this forum. You'll find loads of threads about these subject. Once you read it, you'll understand much better what the tractor is doing and why the thing decided to clean.

The problems with emissions we often read here, are caused by the owners not running the tractors hard enough or from the owners cancelling too many regens. Then the DPF will get plugged more and more over time.

EDIT: Was going through the RK55 manual, they also mentioned on another page that the light means that the exhaust is over 400 degrees. Basically meaning that you're working the tractor hard enough for the DPF to be happy.

Probably more of a case of me not running it hard enough. It o my has 30.1 hours on it. I know not to let it idle for long periods of time. I called the store and the tech told me to park it, put it in neutral, apply the parking brake and run it at full throttle until the light goes off. I’m sitting here trying to figure out what to do so I don’t screw up a $30,000 tractor.

Thanks for taking the time to give me a head start.
