After many years on a tough old Ferguson TO20 box scraping, brush hogging, and dragging stuff around I wanted a little newer 4x4 tractor with loader. I figured $8/10K would do it. Found this site and read a bit - well, quite a bit. Checked for sale ads - nothing was clicking. I thought I'd stop by and look at the new stuff, just to look mind you, no way I was gonna pop for those kinda bucks. Man were they nice. Read this forum some more. There's a real nice crew on here with good info. This tractor thing's kinda addicting. Long story short - bought a 4310 ePowrReverser w/430 loader & PHD. Got it delivered week and a half ago. Read this forum some more. Hmmm, 4in1 bucket. Good idea. Hadn't thought about that, couldn't afford it but papers weren't signed yet sooo, had the dealer order one in. Read this forum some more. Grapple rake (aka brush blade)! Waaay better for my needs along with the standard bucket. Dealer has just gotten one in, papers still haven't been done sooo, they're bringing it over this afternoon and have another buyer for the 4in1 I was gonna buy. Thanks guys, you cost me a buncha bucks - but I'm still smiling. The 4310's a real nice ride.

Have a good weekend all

Joel

Thats great news - the 4310 - probably all the units in the 4x10 series are amazing machines. I have accomplished so much with mine. It may look small, but man oh man does it get some work done for you - very powerful hydraulics! Good Luck with it! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

My Jan's a little puzzled about my priorities too. She's wanted a nice new saddle for a couple years but I just kept mumbling about getting something to help her move horse manure and clearing more pasture. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow after I've messed around with the grapple rake.

Thanks

Congrats on the new machine Joel ! I'm mulling over one of the same right now.

( I agree. I have plenty of nice shiny Green stuff, our furniture is worn out. My wife just does not understand... )

Here the wife has new furniture, new carpet, and new paint - can't say much though as she paid for most of it. Well I don't reckon I can expect her to buy a new tractor too - oops. "Honey that driveway sure is getting bumpy, when are you going to get those downed trees up and fix the yard ?" - maybe I can get her to ante up a little LOL !
