Hey guys... Given the fact my shop is jammed up with equipment and I can't seem to find time to build a barn to house the equipment I barely use, I'm thinking of going to one tractor. My game plan is mid 30 horse power, mid deck mower, FEL, and possibly cab. I really want to stay with Kubota, but the only thing I'm seeing is HST, and I'd prefer to stay with gear drive . Now granted, I don't know much about the new HST stuff, but had one small B2620 with hst that I hated. I'm going to keep the mini ex to finish up trail blazing, but think I could get by with one nice tractor. What do ya'll think. Am I missing something???

Maybe I'm missing something, too - but I don't think Kubota makes a non-hst, 30+ hp tractor that can accept a mid-mower.

My tractor is 35 hp and it's just too small. My next tractor is going to be 80hp or more with a cab. For mowing a nice lawn, I found that having a zero turn is worth what it cost to buy it. One tractor for working the land makes sense, but not to mow the lawn.

I agree. My zero turns blows out 6 acres in about 2 hours and I'm taking my time. It just seems silly to use that machine only 2 hours a week for 5 months...

I would go 45-50 hp more FEL lift verses 35hp.

I doubt that over 10% of the members on TBN use a tractor for more than 2 hours a week for 5 months,,,

I have 4 four wheel drive tractors,, they ain't going nowhere,,,

The reason for having a tractor is so that I can do a job in under an hour,, that would take a day without the tractor,,

Do you think I use this attachment weekly?

So, you vote for a new barn then ???:D

Given how much land you have, I would think two tractors is the way to go. That does depend on what/how you use the land though.

I vote two tractors and a bigger barn with pictures.

Sounds like it's time for an INTERVENTION!

What you obviously need is help figuring out how to free up your time so you can get that new equipment building built. Make sure it's not only big enough to comfortably house all the equipment you currently have, but also, for any future piece of equipment that you don't even realize that you need yet.

There. Glad we could help.

Whew, we almost lost one boys.
