Buying Advice thinking of a john deere 6400 2wd

thinking of a jd 6400 2wd...

for loader work and hay..

opinions of these tractors ?

6400 are very good and reliable, just try make sure that you get one with low hours. They are good all rounders and personally I don't think you can really go wrong with one.

fantastic tractor for hay work, heavy enough chassis to handle the equipment in hills and a good hp match. That is unless you are going to be looking at rotary disc windrower then you will want atleast another 15hp but for balers, sickle windrowers, etc great match. I don't know that I would want to attempt packing 2 large bales with a grapple on a 2wd machine but if you use the loader reasonably they still worked pretty good.

I think you will be a lot happier with a waterloo tractor.

One with 5800 hours and a 620 JD loader just sold at auction here for a little over $14,000 if that helps.
Also there is a dealer here in MI with a MFWD 6200 low hours (under 2000) and a 640SL loader for $29500
