Thinking of a backhoe for a B7500?????????

I've been thinking about looking into buying a backhoe but I would like to know if they really dig well.I know my 7500 is only 21hp but will they dig good? I've seen pictures of some BX's and their BH's but does anyone have any pics of a B7500 HST with a BH and maybe with it in use? It's not how often I will use it but it's "I want one".I would be used but not abused. Pictures and advise PLEASE..............

Can't post a pic at the moment...but yes, they really do dig well. I love mine...try to post a pic later or two...could probably post A LOT more...

I am really glad I could afford a backhoe. Pretty expensive though...cost effective...who knows...for me I wanted one and use it a lot and don't regret buying mine at all.

I have a B4672 backhoe on my 7610. I looked in the manual and this Kubota backhoe is also listed for application on your 7500. The backhoe kit requires some reinforced attachment points on the tractor. I don't know if that [the reinforcement kit] is part of the B4672. It was installed new on my tractor before delivery.

The backhoe digs well in the decomposed granite soil we have around here. I've also dug up some boulders that were too big to pick up with the bucket. I just scooped/scraped them out of the ground and rolled 'em out of the way.

I got a 12" bucket with mine. The smallest available from Kubota is a 10" bucket. Error on the small side unless you have soft soil. The smaller bucket puts more digging force across the smaller area--making it easier to break up the granite shale I enounter here.

I have a B7300 (less HP than yours, about the same size) with a Woods 6500 BH. It has a subframe, which I think is a really good design for the tractor, because the PTO driven BH produces enough force to throw the tractor all over the place. It digs quite well, even in my rocky soil.

They do work, and work well. They are not cheap - you're looking at something like $5K, give or take. Used is possible, if you can find one, but still not inexpensive. But they sure are fun, and very useful. I don't have mine mounted right now, but could take a picture of it if you're interested. Send me a PM and I'll make sure to follow up this post.

How long does it take to mount or dismount the BH?I could find alot of things to do with it. I would just like to be able to remove it without alot of pain..

It never take same amount of time each time...but it does not take that long in the case of the B4690A on a B2910. One reason is that the B2910 has extendable lower arms.

I would say about 15 minutes on or off is average, and maybe less. Last time I had the hoe back against something, and had to keep walking around the loader to get to the other side. That might be where the 15 minute estimate comes from. I kept thinking I am walking more than I am removing...or was that attaching...don't remember...

Actually, I would not worry about taking the hoe off or putting it on several times in a day. I don't think I have found reason to do it more than twice in a day though.

The more you do it the easier/faster it becomes...

I take mine off and on a lot. My first time was about 5 minutes to take it off and about an hour to get it back on. Now I can drop it in 5 and have put it back on in 5, but if things aren't just right, it can take me 15. Probably an average of 10 minutes to put it back on. Not a big deal after some practice.

You've seen some pics of ditches. I use mine for firewood as well. Here's a pic of it with a good size log.
