With all of the news about gloom and doom it's easy to get caught up in the momentum. Yet looking back on the last 12 months I still have plenty to be thankful for. First and foremost is my health, something which I still take for granted. I'm also thankful that I have a warm dry place to live and don't worry about having enough to eat... actually I eat a bit more than I should. ;)

Agreed Jstpssng - I have been greatly blessed also and am thankful for: a home, food to eat, family, my health also, got over COVID with no problems, wife staying negative while looking after me, daughter getting over COVID, son-in-law and rest of family staying negative, being able to work every day other than out with COVID, wife being able to work from home, both of us having work to do, friends' restaurant surviving so far, being able to help others in need, our pastor, our church family, John 3:16, living in a country that has problems but still the best I know of. Just a minuscule picture of the things I am thankful for.
Now for the sobering thoughts - things I've read from some in Iran, India, Lebanon, China, Russia that are very grateful for where they are and what little they have.

So much.......Health, family members/friends who are still with us and for the memories of those who are not, living in the USA, home and property that I'll be the steward of while on this earth, and a career that has helped to provide for my family. Oh, and did I mention that I am thankful for being able to retire early in a few months? That's a bigee I'm thankful for. :cool2:

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families.....TBN is a great community and thankful for all the knowledge sharing and camaraderie.

Memories of the greatest fictional old man ever and the only one worth worshipping.

The wisest.

The most worthy.

The only.

Less than a year ago we lost our 4 year old granddaughter and that was tough. Last winter I broke my ankle and it is still not 100% but at least I walk without needing surgery. Yesterday we learned my fiancé's tumor is responding well to chemo. It is 1/3 the size and there are another 2 months of treatments before surgery. My BIL was operated on yesterday to remove blood building up between his skull and brain. It looks like the surgery went well but we will know more today. It is easy to take the "poor me" attitude and my fiancé is wired that way.

With this **** Chinese Covid we will miss spending time with family and friends, but through it all, we find strength with the Lord at our side.

Hate the direction our country is going but know we live in a great country and we will weather it. Much to be thankful for.

I still have my health, a warm place to live and my small family group. We wish you all the best of Thanksgivings and better times ahead.

Wife and I are upright, warm and happy. TV Dinners tonite since we are not having a Family Get-To-Gether because of Covid. Folks are in their mid to late 80s and we are not taking any chances.

Bless you all, Celebrate Life!

We are thankful to still be well this year.
Mrs.tiller and I did not host Tday dinner this year.
Just us, a bowl of ham & bean soup and watched a little Gunsmoke on TV.
If things don't improve we may cancel Xmas also, but we'll make up for it next year.
