HYD LEAK DOWN since I'm ordering TNT, I think a FEL and 3pt hitch bleed down test. How long should they hold with box scraper on rear and HD bucket up front.

Hyd pressure test would like it at max for heavy pallet say 2750# at least

Any quick test for draft control?

Set tire width just less than bucket can front be changed?

Fill rear tires with water with my supplied additive MY well water got iron and calcium high

Take delivery of 60" wicked grapple and toothbar I have no way to off load delivery truck 400+ lbs

ANYTHING ELSE BEFORE I LET THEM DELIVER IT, CAUSE WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER PICKUP.

Not best to leave implements up when no in use but;my three point will stay up forever with my rear blade on and the FEL is the same.Kubota L4240 and ten years old.

HYD LEAK DOWN - Since I'm ordering TNT I think a FEL and 3pt hitch bleed down test. How long should they hold with box scraper on rear and HD bucket up front.

A 90 minute leak test should be ample. My single pair of Kubota remotes have been faultless.

Not best to leave implements up when not in use. Depressurize hydraulic system, front and rear, at end of the day.

Hyd pressure test would like it at max for heavy pallet say 2750# at least.

You are dreaming. LA1055 has lift capacity of 2,300 pounds. However, a pallet load will be considerably forward. Assuming R4/industrial tires, max pallet lift will be 2,200 - 2,300 pounds. Less if the pallet load is liquid, which can slosh. You will need a Three Point Hitch counterbalance of 900 pounds or more AND ballasted rear tires to lift a pallet load of 2,200 pounds on flat, level, hard ground safely with only a thin safety margin.

On dirt safe pallet lift will be 2,000 pounds.

10% less with R1/ag tires.

You will need same counterbalance when working with your grapple.

To unload pallet, lift pallet 3" with FEL. Drive vehicle away. Lower load to 3" above ground.
Transport slowly over level ground. DO NOT MOVE TRACTOR WITH PALLET LOAD ELEVATED.

Any quick test for draft control? Your can insert the thin end of a crowbar at the rear to test the activation but this does not tell you much. My Draft Control has only activated once, in four years, with a full Box Scraper. I do not bother adjusting it these days.

Set tire width just less than bucket can front be changed?

2-WD yes. 4-WD no.

Two bucket hooks on the FEL to unload trucks. Hooks install inline with the lift arms. Photo: 300 pound Dirt Dog APP being unloaded with 5/16" chain grab hooks and chain. Counterbalance 600 pound Cultipacker. Air in rear tires.

You can LIFT to FEL capacity with chain hooks but do not allow yourself to PULL heavy loads over dirt in reverse. Connect/pull heavy loads at the rear/center drawbar.

I transport vertical railroad ties with bucket hooks regularly.

I have installed Ken's Hooks on both my new Kubotas with complete satisfaction. I also like Ken's Grade 70 forestry hooks for one end of each 5/16" Grade 70 chain. Ken's hooks are industrial art.

ANYTHING ELSE BEFORE I FINALIZE ORDER?

You should opt for L2296 Round-Back, Heavy Duty Bucket. Absolutely the berries.

Clevis chain grab hook from TSC or Rural King for rear/center drawbar. $20. Install with hairpin clip up, or you will lose it. I keep thinking I should replace hairpin clip with a hefty cotter pin.......

KTAC insurance.

Check tightness of rear wheel bolts/nuts regularly during first 100 hours. Mine worked loose repeatedly. Finally had to replace the dish on both rear wheels due to wallowed holes under warranty. You cannot tighten with a wrench or hand powered socket. You must tighten with an impact driver.

Did you get 3rd function installed? Be sure to check all of your hydraulic hose linkages to be sure they are tight. Put implements on and test function...and you can also be looking for leaks. Have you checked function of all HST functions at the dealership? If not you can do that as well.
Check 4WD function and diff lock.

Jeff I knew you'd have to chime in

Yes we all know to not leave loads in the air, but if you have been scanning the problems been a fair share of bad valves so I'm looking average good results, my 1966 Ford 3000 will hold a box scrapper for couple of days, but I had to rebuild the valves in the top plate to get that and draft working

Same with the pallet loading an number of people could not lift a rated load until the pressure was bumped up with some shims in the regulator

Yes I've ordered the Hd bucket with the bolt on cutting edge and will have Long custom toothbar built along with grapple from everything attachments

Yes on Ktac

Yes on the buck hooks

I thought the front rims might be reversible to change offset

Hopefully I'll get WSM before the tractor so I can read about all the settings. I watched the messick video about 7 different settings

I cannot imagine why you would need both a sharp bolt on bucket edge and a toothbar.
Enlighten me.

If you will be tearing out brush and vines a Ratchet Rake is better. I pulled a couple tons of grape vines and wild climbing rose out of Oaks today. I used SSQA pallet forks for debris transport to the burn pit. Often I rake out roots and corms with my Field Cultivator then tow to the burn pit.

After all this advice I anticipate a nice Xmas present.

Next year in October I will Trick or Treat at your house for sure.

Clay with Pensacola Bahia a regular bucket unless you've got the weight of a front end loader just can't get down into it, so you set the teeth and curl it and keep doing that to break it up. When they had backhoe here to put my pool in if. they didn't break the clay up you could not get it out of the bucket. I mean you had to take a madaxe to it. You could build adobe house with stuff plus you will run into hard flint rocks that you need the teeth to roll out. It pure grey clay that stinks when you did it up, I mix it with sand I get from archer which is fairly coarse and drains well. You can take a clump of the stuff and takes a hose with fire nozzle an 60psi and it will take you ten minutes to cut in half. So the reason for HD Bucket and the cutting bar is to reinforce the front edge so you can roll the teeth, use a regular bucket you will bend it.

Take look at the short lower forks on the wicked root rake ar400 steel with teeth, I'm hoping they will be tough enough pierce the clay and cut the water oak roots, I have my doubts, I may still need to run the sod buster first and we'll see if the Kubota has got more guts in the *** end then my Ford 3000, you get a **** of jolt when you hit a 5 inch root buried in the clay. You've got too cut it you can't pull it out my sod buster is sharpen the whole way up.

Its live an learn been here 35 years fighting the stuff, if its bare on the ground and gets wet you can't walk on it, its put me on my butt too many times to count even with cleated boots. Have you ever used modeling clay, this stuff is heavier and denser.

I havent seen any issues with Kubota loaders. They shouldn't budge if you leave 1,000lbs on them for weeks. The rear remotes & the TnT cylinders I had were crap. Cylinders didnt fit right & leaked externally. I have FitRite cylinders now. They dont leak, but the internal valves do. After a replacement valve my toplink only drops an inch in hour. My sidelink will extend all the way in an hour or 2.

No clue what the leakdown on my 3rd rear valve or 3rd function valve are. The 3rd function is for a PHD & snow plow angle. I'll never notice on the PHD & not likely to either for hydraulic angle on the SSQA mount snow plow. The side shift on my flsil mower isnt likely to have issues even if the valving sucks.

Get tires set how you want them. Mine are ser to 72" which is good stability & manuverability. Its a pain to change widths & get new impliments match. Not strictly required, but often a good idea.

Work a WSM in to the deal. Probably your first & second services, or at least supplies so you can do your own maintnance.
