Well I'm glad to see them playing that type of songs, and not playing songs by Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC, or any other head-banging mind warping songs :D

My 16 year old daughter enjoys Ozzy and AC/DC and other head-banging mind warping stuff. She carries a 4.3686 GPA on a 4.0 scale and has a black belt in Karate. She's also made varsity golf her sophomore year, volunteers as a youth counselor for summer camp and takes electric guitar lessons. I'm just happy she doesn't listen to Lawrence Welk type stuff. That'll make you drool your strained peas!!! :D:):p:D

The amazing thing with music is it can connect with all ages. Have her listen to the Mills Brothers or The Four Freshmen (my parents had warped my mind before I even knew it:D)

I smile when I think I got my parents into Springsteen (pre 1985 mind you) and Jimmy Buffet.

That said, I almost fell over dead when they (my parents) found my first Queen tape as a young boy.

Most artists , music or otherwise. Actors included use their popularity to push their beliefs on others, not unlike some long time contributers to these forums. You just have to Enjoy the music, art , & in some cases here the BS & sort through it.

Theres several here with well over a thousand posts ,that very seldom add usefull input in the threads , but seek out the drama & like to play safety police . Once again only my opinion.

But I enjoy reading it all . but in some cases as with music it makes You wish you could just change the chanel . :D .

I just ask stupid questions when I need to . & help when I can . But Its just from my experience , Not from googling to make me look smart , Which I,m far from in case you haven,t figured that out yet . :D . Bob

I would like to clear up something , that My Off the wall comment about some posting worthless information on the forum Was not aimed at anyone in this thread.

My apologies to anyone that took it that way. especially LMTC as He has offered Me help before . Thanks , Bob

I have been mostly a classic rock guy all my life. I do appreciate classical, old country and even some heavy stuff.

Lately my wife has been getting into some of the pop stuff and as a guilty pleasure I must say I like some of it. I've taken to Pink and Gwen Stephanie in particular. I guess after my long 70's hair fell out I have started to get soft.

Really don't like the "gangsta" stuff though.

If you only listen to the musicians that have the same political views as yourself you are really missing out. What about actors? John Wayne movies only?...BORING.

I could watch Big Jake over and over again. "I thought you were dead?" and "Dog!" are the best lines in the movie.

Moss, I am also a JW fan and enjoy watching the occasional film. I don't know if I could watch them exclusively forever and ever. Might have to toss in a good Ronald Reagan film just to mix it up a bit. Now that "Bedtime for Bonzo", that's a film!:)
