The seat belt mechanism on my DK45SE exploded...

my new Daedong EX50M has also failed the seat belt at 60 hours, it was replaced under warranty no problems with that. however now that the tractor has just pased 100 hours i guess in around another 20 hours it will most likly fail again, i hope they bring out a better replacment seat belt before my warranty period ends !!!

My replacement was the same as the original "explosive" design so I simply added a few wraps of electrical tape to the clamshell case to keep it from opening. So long as the shell doesn't open it should last indefinitely and the weak design point is just the little plastic tabs or plastic weld points that keep the thing closed. Maybe the dealers should be adding some subtle reinforcement before they deliver these things.

My seatbelt is only 3 years old, so I haven't had time to try it out yet.. Wonder if it works.
