I figured this would get some lookers hehe. just wondering if anyone knows about NH making a 60HP later this year. It was mentioned in another thread that they may boost the tc55 up to 60 hp. Any more details? I am looking at buying a TC55D within the next couple months and may hold out for more power if they are making it.

Mike, with a stencil kit and a can of spray paint, you can make it TC90D and become the envy of the neighborhood.;)

This is what Larry said in another post. Somehow i had missed that answer until just now. I overlooked it somehow.

From Larry:

I have been given limited information about the new 60hp unit other than the fact that it will 60hp, same frame size as the TC55, and the model designation will be T2460 or something like that. I'm sorry I dont have more info right now but I will let you know the moment I do. What that DOES tell me is that if you are in need of a tractor right now, and the TC55 will do the job, I would jump on the 96 month financing from the standpoint of monthly investment. It wont get any better than that. However, if you still have shopping time left, you may want to wait. I know, its hard to wait, but based on what NH has been bringing to the market over the last year, I see even better things coming.

There are actually 3 new models in the CUT line coming out this year but at the moment all I have are proposed model numbers, all start with "T". I guess its the same naming convention as the new T6000 and T8000 series. My guess is that all models will be "T" something by next year. Time for all new literature again!

Hope this helps.

price? availability? interest rate? i thought the TC55 had the class 2 hitch also. Why dont they call it a TC60 since basically same machine heavier clutch and more HP.

It appears to have a larger alternator, and I wouldn't be surprised if the new engine will accept B20 or B100 Biodiesel too. They are trying to improve the entire line of engines.

New Holland is also introducing a T1520 which will be (in a nutshell) a 35hp TC30 with 29.5 PTO hp (gear) and 28 PTO hp (hydro).

The general dimensions and appearance of the new unit will be identical to the TC30--indeed it will be matched with the 7308 loader (same as the TC30).

As for why the new T2420 isn't a TC60, New Holland is doing away with its current tractor designations and returning to its Ford roots. Witness the introduction of the new 6000 and 7000 series and the aformentioned T1520. Also, the TC55 will be renamed the T2410 and the rest of the Boomer series will also recieve new monikers through the course of the year--though what they will become has not yet been announced.

What is up with these STUPID names?

TC55, a 55hp compact
TN60, a 60hp utility
etc

a T2420?
is that 24hp? 20hp? 42hp? Why do I have to think to decide what is what?
STUPID.

Not to mention that New Holland had a prior model 1520 that was but 23hp.

Should be fun for the parts guys.
