Tractor
Kubota BX23
Hello fellow dirt farming, hay bailing, snow plowing, tractor owning friends. My name is Charlie, first and foremost is I’m a born again believer in Jesus, I’m a 65 yr old Pastor at a country Church in rural WVA, I’m a retired bricklayer, recently a widower after 40 wonderful yrs of marriage to my best friend, I’m a father of two and a Papaw to two boys. I enjoy hunting, fishing, trapping and motorcycles. I recently bought my first “tractor” a Kubota BX23s withe just a bucket and a hoe, I had lawn mowers. I got lots of questions… I believe you all have lots of answers. Thank you in advance for welcoming me and helping me navigate life as a tractor owner.

Welcome to to the Forum! 👋

You don't say where you are but guessing somewhere in the north if you're snow plowing. Cold here right now (26*F) but no snow. Funny thing is, it's going into the 60s after tomorrow. ;)

Welcome aboard. TBN is the best place for tractors and a lot more. And don't let anyone tell you your BX is not a real tractor!

I plowed snow on top of ice w chains and it was amazing. For 30+ years I’ve done it with a shovel or broom, 65 yds x 12’ wide. Yesterday I did it in about 40 mins + warmup and learn time. What a Blessing God has allowed me.🙌

Welcome to TBN my brother from another mother and same Father. :)

Lots of good info here about tractors, finances, relationships and life in general. Then again like all things they can be... Off base too. Rarely do you see any duels on here, the moderators seem to keep things at bay pretty good. That in itself is a difficult chore as we are mostly all from different walks of life. You will have stuff to add when the time comes, that is what makes the site that much better.

My brother is a retired pastor a new phase in life for him.

Always like the WV country, beautiful.

I’m excited to be on here, if I wanted drama I’d have signed up for Facebook. I’m interested in good tractor info, good stories from good ppl. And WV is almost Heaven, and some wild and wonderful. It’s home❤️

It’s going to be in the teens for a high and zero or lower at night here in WV. Glow plug testing ground. Might need a block heater in the future or another building.🙄

Welcome to TBN from Maine; you are going to fit in here I suspect. 🍻

I'm sorry for your loss; 40 years is a beautiful run, I hope that my wife and I make it that far. May the Lord keep her, and comfort you and your family.
