LS.
This here is the all new 2014 LS J2023H. It is similar to the current J2020H but with some huge improvements. The FEL is an all new design with more lift capacity! The J2023H has 1,270 pounds lift capacity at the pins and a breakout force of 1,640. They upgraded the hyd pumps from 8.6 gpm to 9.2 gpm. Also another huge improvement was the F/R rocker. It is now a twin pedal setup. The mid mount mower is still the 60" cut drive over deck setup. The subframe hoe is now a much better design. The older models you had to switch the brackets around to go from your 3pt to the hoe. Now the arms can stay on. The hoe along with the FEL has more digging power and also a deeper digging depth. Everything is very smoothe running and faster than the older J models.

Can the backhoe and mower deck be on at the same time (or at least mounting brackets) unlike previous models?

Well with the way the sub frame is mounted on the tractor I am not 100% sure on that. That's the biggest thing my customers have a problem with. I just sold and ordered one of the new XR3037HC and the customer wanted a backhoe and loader so I had to get them a woods 3PT mount hoe that way they didn't have to switch brackets around like you do now. I sure know with me as a mechanic/ salesman I wouldn't want to have to switch all them brackets around every time I would want to mow or use the hoe. The 3PT is a very good style hoe. I got him a woods which if your not pulling big stumps or rocks out it will do just fine without ripping the tractor apart.

From what I am hearing the 2030 is done. They are only going to have the 23 hp to keep from using the emissions systems on the Sub Compacts which would make the price and size jump pretty good. But with running the new 2023 compared to the 2030 the 23 is by far a better running more powerful unit compared to the 27 hp. Plus the Hoe and the FEL are a little smaller that the previous 2030 so its a little more compact with more digging depth on the hoe and more lift cap. on the FEL.

Nice little machine! Seriously, I'd love to have one for smaller tasks, and the wife's gardening projects....looks really handy.

I'm assuming that the engine is going to continue to be a Mitsu?

Yes the J2023H is still going to run the Mitsu engine. The bigger tractors with the Tier 4 Engines are going to be Perkins Shibaura engines.

TractShacktimons,

I thought I saw where a J2027H with the dual hydraulic pedals was going to be introduced to take the place of the J2030H. Can you elaborate on this? I've only seen one internet post on it, and I cannot remember where I saw it. I'm very interested in purchasing a LS J2027H if such an animal exists.

No such model as a J2027. As a way to keep from having to adopt Tier 4 standards, LS combined the previous 2020 and 2030 models. The result is the J2023 which stays under Tier 4 power requirements while giving more loader capacity and two hydro pumps for a larger GPM flow. It also has dual hydro pedals.
