The Mother Of All Tire Pressure Gauges???

I'm having the usual difficulty finding an American-made, high quality, high repeatability, very high accuracy pressure gauge in range 1-100 PSIG (or 1-120 PSIG) for my truck and trailers. I've searched the net for high quality gauges and reviews only to find that there is no consensus and that there are serious flaws reported in almost every corner. The lack of product coverage over 50-60 PSIG is partly to blame... but my rear truck tires and all of my trailer tires need to run at 80 PSIG.

Digital or analog... I don't care. And as poor as I am, I don't care about price either. If necessary, I will even build one myself with highest quality industrial components. But if anyone else out there has already found (or made) the "Mother of all tire pressure gauges"... please clue me in!

Thanks Jesse! Milton is a name that keeps coming up, but I wasn't sure they were American-made. Seems like high quality, although one of the online reviews included tests that "dissed" the Milton tire pressure product they had tested rather badly (although it was not this particular one).

Guess I'll just have to try one and find out for myself!

Yep... another high-end name that keeps coming up. I believe Amazon.com sells this brand, but I couldn't figure out if they are American-made.

But once again, the Moroso gauges tested did not perform perfectly either. And as with the Miltons, I suppose you pay your money and you see for yourself.

Try one of these if it is not as accurate as you like just change the gauge to a laboratory test gauge.

I'm curious about what is driving your need for *very* high accuracy. It is my understanding that tire pressure can vary significantly with weather and travel time. Isn't it good enough to have something that is accurate within a couple of PSI?

I have to agree on this one. At 80# a gauge that is 4#s off is within 5%. Considering pressures can differ due to heat over 10% on a trip that 5% really isn't a big deal. I would more concerned about accuracy at lower pressures. But really, are ya going for lap times? I have had a accugage rolling around the jeep for years (there is a rusty waterline over half the face) that is still plenty dang accurate for anything I need it for.

Like JESSE1, I always found that Milton to be good enough. If it's off a tiny bit, that's not a big deal to me, if it's consistent. In other words, if all the tires are the same pressure, I figure it's OK.
