The Fridge Move

Clever use of the seat belts.

What I cannot decide is would the fridge have flown at the first bump or when he got up to about 30mph? My guess is the wind pressure on the top of the fridge would have pushed backwards and the bottom of the fridge would have slipped into the trunk followed by a boom as said fridge hit the pavement.

I have seen worse being loaded at the home stores.....

Later,
Dan

Not sure what the problem is here; in some countries he would have moved the fridge on a bicycle, or a donkey, or on his wife's back!

Innovative thinking but highly dangerous. I suspect that the driver wasn't traveling very far and thought that he would make it. His speed would have had to been restricted, due to the wind velocity directed against the fridge. He didn't receive a ticket--did he? Happy Tractoring.:tractor::tractor:

I'm not seeing a problem here.

I think this is very dangerous for people except you...

I've loaded a few fridges, and I guess what I'm wondering is how he got it up there. Maybe the place where he picked it up had a loading dock and they dropped it in?

It's not a huge fridge...but they're still pretty heavy. I like this from the article:

The driver apologized, removed the fridge from his trunk and arranged proper transportation, said police.

He must spend some time in the gym.

The true problem is ,I think its a granny not a square knot. It will be very hard to untie when he got home,An second the people in the back seat have no belts.

I can not wrap my mind around this. Someone actually (seriously) thought that was going to work? I mean really ... how on earth did he get a driver's license in the first place?
Got a good laugh out of it though. Thanks for the post.

I hauled a live hog in the back of a Chevrolet Citation once.

Am I gaining on this fella?:laughing:

If you want to talk about stupid things done in younger days (last year), I hauled an entire 2 apple trees worth of brush in a dodge neon, and loaded all of the wood in a Dodge grand caravan. Don't you hate it when the truck is at the shop, and you still have to work for a living? The fridge still beats that one, though, because I had real ropes to tie everything well. Mine looked like a giant shrub on wheels with taillights. No hog in the Neon, but have had all 3 dogs in it at once- German shepard and 2 lab mixes.

I'm not making any judgment call here but I can't help but think that more than one guy has had a "live hog" in the back of a car at some time or other...usually after a lot of alcohol has been consumed and "last call"! :D

If he put enough beer in it the car would have done a wheelee! Nice!
