The deed is done..L3010 HST purhased today!

What a neat machine! Easier to operate than I expected, but not knowing didly-squat about tractors I had only fears. This is a tractor which will eliminate those pretty quickly.

Thankfully I had read a lot here so he couldn't impress me with some of the basics of the tractor but it still amazed me how easy it is to operate. I don't think there was anyway I was leaving without buying it and he probably knew that too.

We sat down and I told him I wanted the deal we discussed Friday to be 20K drive out price. He could figure the sales tax and fees any way he wanted to but, that was it. I am sure I left $$ on the table as easy as that went but I am happy, he is happy, and I won't be shy about being a PITA if I have a question or a problem.

As far as the insurance goes, it is for the purchase price over the length of the finance contract so I financed a nominal amount that would qualify for 48 months and got insurance for that period. It is inexpensive and has a low deductable which should be compared to the deductable on your homeowners if that is what you are comparing against. I am renting while constructing so this was better. My homeoners policy in Texas had a deductable which was a % of house value which is OK in some situations but not in others.

Delivery is next Wed. am. L3010 HST, R4s, FEL, 6' rotary cutter, 5' box blade, and a sun screen. Driving home I realized I forgot to add a tooth bar to the FEL. Major error!! Now I have a call in to him to whine a bit and see if he will toss it in or if I have to eat it.

Can't wait to start clearing the land. I now fully understand the "fever" here.

PS: Is he going to bring me the hat on delivery or do I have to ask for that too?

Congrats, GS! I've had my L3010HST for a year now and after working her very hard all that time I'm more impressed than ever! Send pics when she arrives, and let us know if/when you choose a name.

Congrats on your new tractor.
I got my 3010 in April and have about 30 hours on it so far. It's great. I forgot about the hat but they brought me one when they delivered, without me asking. I've heard that some on here have gotten Tshirts too. I figure you'll be to excited to even think about a hat or tshirt with a new Kubota sitting in your driveway.

Congrats on the new machine,,, I've got 30 hours on mine and it impresses me everytime I use it. The worse part was the day of delivery for me. I was like a kid at Christmas. You'll love it, don't forget the wife or to eat. Tomorrow is gonna be a big tractor day...got some trees pushed over by the new tractor and now I need to move them....work is more enjoyable with a new Kubota...gotta get back to work.

Thanks everyone. I am looking forward to delivery day next Wednesday. Taking it amd Friday as vacation days so there are 5 straight days to leans all about it.

City fireworks are launched from a field adjacent to our property so we will just sit on some lawn chairs next to the tractor after working all day and enjoy them. (if we don't fall asleep after 2 days on the land that is)
