well hpx's can't go in water up to the fender.they die. i put mine in water that was about right at the bottom of my rear fenders and she died on me . i got here out in the yard air drying.funny thing is she made it through the hole yesterday but she said one time was enough and that was all she was gonna do.so now she won't turn over at all i got some lights workin on the dash but the starter is soaked i think it needs a good drying out. i don't have a video but i got a picture my buddy took of me going into the hole he's gonna email it to me as soon as he downloads it.i had me feet upon the dash board and one on the gas pedal.lol

Is this the first time you killed it in water? Is there anything serious that can happen as a result?

Well like I mentioned if he stucked in any ammount of water and it got into the cylinders the compression would go to something like 1000:0 as I recall and it will bend a whole lotta crap (known as hydrolock) since water A) doesn't like to compress and B) doesn't like to just explode and go out the exhaust.

You is lucky. :)

It's a wee bit cold around here lately so I haven't put many hours on my HPX at all. It's going to take me awhile to put the next 5 hours on needed to break 700 hours.

yea i'm real lucky it didn't die in the middle .the hole wasn't maybe twice the length of the hpx but it was deep.the bad part about the hpx's and xuv's are the darn flywheel cover doesn't seelup and the little pickup coil that i changed when it gets under water your dead in the water. a quik splash is ok but if your in a hole your in a bind. i got my battery compartment where my fuses are sealed up so if water wants to get into ther it has to go over the seat. i'm gonna check the front diferential oil today and the gas tank i don't know how good the gas tank cover seal up.it's been raing all night and mornin so as soon as it clears up i'll get around to it.

Is there any way to drain water out of the gas tank? You might have gotten a tiny ammount in there because I'm sure that cap needs to breathe a little when it gets hot out. But I wouldn't think there'd be much if any.

i shoved a towel in the tank and it looked ok then i pumped a little out and it looked ok so i don't think it got in there it was like a rush of water that went over the tank coveri know i have 27"tires and they wrer undr water in the deepest part i'm gonna have to go with a tape measure and check eveything thats within the tire level or 1"2"higher just to see where the water could have gotton.i'm trying to convert the picture over to another file type so i can post it but i'm havin trouble converting it.here it is going into the hole.we took the other picture the day before.i do most of this mud in two wheel drive there is a trail that goes into the woods behind in the back ground i dug a rut so deep that to this day ain't no one can pass there but me and sometimes i gotta go back and forth to get through it.
