Xmas is almost upon us. The short dark days of winter are at their longest. And here on this Forum many of us seem to be cantancerous and in grip of dark moods.

Is this an indication of SAD [ seasonaly Adjusted Depression ] due to the reduce amount of daylight and more of the light spectrum being filtered out by the atmosphere??

Lets all settle down and enjoy the Holidays.
Best wishes to all of you.

Yes, I have noticed this as well...and the many threads/posts that have been deleted lately is a sure sign of "ill-will towards man". /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to ALL!

I live in WV and commute to Washington DC everyday by train to go to work. This time of year I leave the house when it is dark and I get home when it is dark. I don't leave the building during the day because of going through security, so it can get a little depressing and test the nerves when you only get to see daylight is basically on the weekends. I tried to really make an effort to stay positive until the days get longer and I can play on my tractor in the evenings!!!!

The variety of Spring, Summer, and Fall uses of a tractor reduce to a single use for many TBNers during Winter, i.e., dealing with snow. Less varied uses of tractors result in fewer question and answer posts. To compensate, people start more non-tractor related threads about topics that many times tend to be polarizing which, in turn, results in less than TBN-typical exchanges.

More commonly known as STW (Seasonal Tractor Withdrawal) /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

And I don't know about where you live, or the rest of TBN country, but here in Southeast Michigan it seems like the sun is never out during the winter. I read that Michigan (outside of Alaska) is one of the states with the fewest sunny days. It really adds to the short day gloominess. Probably adds to the extra pounds people are carrying around also.

I lived in London for a couple of years but then I visited Sweden and realized how lucky we were to have 6 hours of daylight in December.

This is the time to remember the 'Reason for the Season' and let that be your light.

Merry Christmas to all
