I haven't had a chance to thank Brian for my new Fit Rite Hydraulic top link. I've had it for several weeks, but didn't really get a chance to have at it with my Bush Hog until this week. It makes everything from hooking up the Hog to getting the cut the level I want it to be SOOO much easier. It took less than 10 minutes to attach, and the only thing I need to figure out is how to make a bracket to hold it up when not being used.

Now that the rain is here (averaging about 1-2 inches a day it seems like), I am constantly switching from Bush Hog to Grapple/counterweight, to Landscape rake. The Kioti bottom links are already user-friendly to change out implements. Now the top link is too.

My hyd top link has been a blessing in combination with my Priefert quick hitch. The top link made the quick hitch about 3x "quicker" and I truthfully don't have to dismount to change implements. I don't have to hook the rotary to the loader and lift to sharpen blades either. Just lift 3ph then shorten top link and the rotary is almost vertical.

Doug, thanks for the kind words. See if you can twist the OEM top link bracket 90* at the hook and then be able to hook onto one of the hydraulic ports on the cylinder. This works a lot of the time and is very easy to do. ;)

Will a top kit be adapatable to providing down pressure for a 3 pt post hole digger?

While it is possible, it's not really a very good idea IMO. Down pressure kits for PHDs are single acting hydraulics with pressure reliefs built in the system so that you can have constant down pressure and are able to raise the 3pt without doing any damage to anything. If a person is going to make their own down pressure kit for a PHD, they should really do a hard look at it. If you have to purchase everything to build one properly, you end up only saving $50-$100. Not sure it's worth all the effort vs just buying one out right. ;)

Brian, I also just hooked my top link kit up. Makes bush hogging so much easier.Good idea on the hold up for the cylinder, thanks.
