Today I watched my 17 year old TC29D (1003 hrs) loaded up and hauled back to the dealer for good. the 60" 914A MMM was damaged and not repairable to keep belts from being broken and flying off the spindles within a few minutes of operation. I just couldn't throw any more money at trying to repair it. New ones are unavailable for that model. I refused to purchase a used one. So I used my blue baby as a trade in for a new tractor, MMM, and FEL. I can't believe I actually switched brands. I loved my New Holland to death, but there were so many features I just could not replace on the current Boomer series that it opened the door to look outside of the family. Thanks to all that helped me in the early days, to understand how to operate, repair, and solve issues that we have with the tractor life. I refuse to mention where I am headed from here, as I can't bring myself to "dirty up" this forum. But look for me out there. Seat time is always important. So wave to me; don't talk bad about me; and I'll see you at the harvest.

I understand about the issues with the MMM. I've had way too many issues with 914A. I've lost count of how many belts and gear box brackets I've replaced. The doesn't include the tensioner pulley arm, the pulleys. I ended up replacing the u-joint and yoke last year. That helped some, but still doesn't seem quite right. I had to flip the case for my gear box over because of broken bolt holes on it. So I totally get what you are saying. I used to say the tractor itself was OK and the mower deck sucked, but that is starting to change. 2014 I had to split the tractor to fix a leak in the hydrostatic pump. Currently I'm in the process of tearing it apart again to re-split it to put a clutch in it. A tractor with 21XX hours should have to be split, yet alone be split a second time. Like you, I really like my little blue beast, but if I were to buy again, I don't think it would be blue.
