Had a problem with my C/IH 574 hyd system, 3pth was "shuddering", also FEL not working and steering assist not working (well). The PTO and transmission did not seem to be affected. Based on suggestions I found using search on this forum, solved the problem.
My screen that is inside the filter's domed enclosure was nearly blocked with what I think looks like paint chips. Very little metal bits found. I did a complete hyd change including filter and scrubbed screen with kerosene. It now works as well as I've ever known it to.
